hi,
not sure if this has been added as Idea, if yes, sorry for duplicating it.

SEPM console should have provision to differentiate the GUP from rest other clients. While troubl;eshooting ot will help.

We have other way open LU policy and check the GUP machine, which seems to be bit time consuming in matter of few seconds, though differeentiating in terms of icon will definetly help.

Cheers
Pete

Strongly agree. But further,

Strongly agree. But further, SEPM shoud not rely on the LU Policy applied to the Group to determine if GUP is enabled. SEPM should actually query SEP clients to report if GUP is enabled.

Choose the GUP

GUPS should be chosen from the console as well.  Group clients together and then simply right-click and choose the GUP for that group would be great.

I can see that your suggestion would be useful in some environments. But here, since I have at least one DC on each site, I use the 127.0.0.1 "trick" to make all DC's (which happen to all be in the same SEPM Group) act as GUPs. This makes configuration automatic: If the machine is a DC, it automatically becomes a GUP at the same time.

While, again, I agree with your suggestion, I'd like NOT to have to specify which machines are GUPs. So I'd like to add that having this functionality set by Group membership or other automated means remains extremely useful, and should not be removed from the product.

It would be OK with me if it was enhanced so I didn't have to rely on a clever trick I discovered on the Forums to make it happen, though!

Agreed

Yes I agree, perhaps just a simple Icon Change or Status field that states that it is an Active GUP.  Something graphical would be best IMO.
Good suggestion
