Hi ALL,

As I am using Symantec Products for long time.

Enterprise Vault for Exchange is best but I feel if Symantec provides Service packs for other products why not for Enterprise Vault?
I know EV has service packs but service packs are bunddled with entire software.
Please make service packs separately available as there is confusion for product upgrade.

As an technical we could suggest the IT Managers but its tedious job.

Regards
KT

Updating service packs is time consuming

EV updates to new service packs is very time consuming in my envrionment so anything that could be done to streamline this process would be great.

Hi, Can I ask you to explain

Hi,

Can I ask you to explain the use case.  As you know our service packs are a full kit, that is correct.  However it does mean you can take that one kit and go from V7.5 spX right throught to V8 sp3 with that one kit no other software needed.

Also to be honest we do quite a lot of work within a service pack so it could still be large.

So what is the disadvantage of our current approach for you, why would a package that just included the changed files (which i presume is what you are after) help you?  After all you still need to do an installation on every EV system, and it's not like it will be a lot longer to install

is it around your change control processes or trying to reduce perceived risks in our strategy?

Very interesed to hear what you have to say.

Cheers,
Mike
