Export All Policies option

I would like to see an option to be able to hit an Export All Policies button that will just save and export all the policies that were created in SEPM.  Obviously they would want to be named as detailed as possible or at least have a .txt doc created with the information associated with each policy for ease of differentiating which policy is what.
This would be very helpful when the SEPM or SEPM Server crashes and the Admin does not have proper/current backups.  As long as the Admin exported the policies before hand ; )
Also this would be good for testing policies, as an Admin can test on a test SEPM all their policies, then export them, and move them to the production SEPM in one fell-swoop.

I agree

But with the additional suggestion that the 'export all policies' button took you to a listing of all your groups/locations and allowed you to check the ones that you wanted to export (ie check all, check none, check selected).

Options

Good point, that way the Admin has more options at their disposal.

Thats a great idea..

Thats really a great idea... and as stated above lot of customers request for this. This would help at the time of SEPM re-installation OR policy migration between stand-alone SEP Managers...

Thanks :-)

Can't argue with this logic.

Our export options for the logs really should be beefed up a bit here I agree fully. : )

Can't wait for this to happen

It will be nice if we can schedule the export as well : )

.

I really really like this idea. I'd like one for the Brightmail Gateway, too.
It will help if it also has an import policy, for rebuilding a server during worst case scenarios. Or sharing it to us to implement on our side.

Import/Export with selection option would be great...

It would be great if we get a import and export option with multiple selection windows for diffrent polices

Just to expand on this

Any ideas on how you want this. I used to work for a client with 100+ groups, with at least 50 different policies. And that's a lot of data. Perhaps 1 descriptive csv file per group.
