Hi,

When I take a Manual Backup of a certain policy (to test the policy or a tapedrive or so), this Manual Backup intervenes with the normal schedule.

So for instance when I test a backup during they day, it will not run again during its normal schedule at night.

I would like to have an ability to test backups that do NOT influence any schedule please :)

copy policy and rename as

copy policy and rename as test - run copy.
when done, delete copy .

That is a workaround

Indeed a workaround...

Wouldn't a nice simple option in a dropdown menu be handy?

I agree with Fredster

If a backup fails, and I can not get to it until the next day to rerun it, I should not have to create a "rerun" policy to rerun the backup.  I shouold just be able to perform a manual backup and then not have to worry about how my frequency is affected.
