Forum Point details.

Its in the context of the profile, instead of the home page which should have the latest updates, current popular threads and other stuff.

Your points is a personal thing, so its better to be at the profile page.

If the points are placed on the front page, then he forums wuld more likely will be viwed as a means to earn points!!

@HappytoHelp --your name doesn't sound like you are really to happy to help you should rename yourself as Happy4points...it doesn't look good when Symantec Employees..with a yellow TAG fight for points..

 Guy what is the harm if we see the point details on the home tab.. I guess no one work for free that the reason why the point stuff is there... Just to inform you that  there  are so many forum running but have you seen shuch participant anywhere ?

If you guy have noticed that if you dont paticipate for a long time you receiv an email saying that the point will expir.. IF it is not about the point then why do you get such email ?

I think you guy's work for free where ever you work :-)

I atlest work to gain something.. whether it be point or knowledge.....

My point of concern is was this Point system made so that symantec users from all across the globe would chip in with their ideas and share their exprecince or was this point system made for Symantec employees to earn points and increase their participation.

Its not TendMicro forum that symantec employees should be paid because they are sharing knowledge.
on Symantec from why should symantec employees fights for resolutions and points.They are using the internal knowledgebase provided to them to help customer and they are alrwady been paid for that.So why again this point system for them .
Its very obvious that symantec has given them training and infrastucture to support clients.

It would be very great to see how many sym employees will be still be present in the connect if points are not awarded to them.
I agree that there have been many employees with abundant knowledge and helping nature who have been a part of forum from a long time its not about them its about the employees who are heavily participating on the forum from last 2 months.

On the the Idea I would say : I disagree to it as Points are someting personal that you can view when you want.
But the main page should more about how to help people.I really liked and appreciate the new " Symantec Suggests" on the main page.

Totally agree with Vikram, the main page should not be about your self and your point it about helping others.
