Ghost build 2269 patch availability

Hi,

I am working as Sr. SQA Engineer in Ghost Solution Suite (GSS) team. We had several defects that were logged in the Live Update 5 release of GSS build 2266 that were fixed in the 2269 release. There are about 23 binaries which are need to fix the issue. Issue found with the new drivers for Intel Matrix AHCI controller makes Ghost in hang state. Now most of the hardware are coming with these controllers and people are facing problem and requesting the patch offenenly. Can we put the patch somewhere on STN forum and point to the link whoever required this patch since customer need to wait for long to reply by Tech Support and get the patch. There are several request coming daily for this patch.

Please I need these files ASAP!  I have to pull an image tomorrow and nothing works after updates to 2266 build!

Make sure you tell every one to vote on this idea.    Right now only 5 people think it is a good idea to provide this 2269 build.     Vote it up every one.

This is really frustrating. Our company has been using Symantec products for decades.

If the patch isn't released, or at least emailed to me, we will be switching all of our backup solutions, Ghost software, etc. to a different company.

please let us know how we can obtain patch 2269  by the end of this week.

Hello Dennis,

Your case will be reviewed by tech support and solution would be provide on the basis of their analysis. Meanwhile please refer the link at the top of this forum which describes how to avail the patches 2269 and 2298.

You will need to have a support agreement in place.

I've been on hold for an hour to get a patch that is critical to my job function, why can't it be available for download after login like the software is?

I've been looking for this patch for more than a month now. the only option that was provided to me was contact tech support.

My customer does not have support that make him not eligible to get support from the technical team so we are just hoping to get the patch online. It is a good idea to provide a patch through Symantec forums specially to those customer how does not have valid support.

And for those customers who tried to call tech team, they've been on hold for more than an hour and that makes it more frustrating. Even though it is understandable. I believed they are getting big number of calls.

MySupport site is also an option. =)

But for this specific issue, can anyone please informed me if there is a possible way to get the patch 2269 without contacting the tech team?

So I think the only option is call tech support to get the specific patch. How unfortunate for my customer.
