Hi .Peter and all,

We would like to use "forums", with our standard email system (as does most groups, like Google Group). That is in particular for "user group" usage.
Most our users can discuss and follow using email threads, more easily than posting & reply into "connect".
Currently into "Symantec connect" only admins can "broadcast" a message to a group community.
For the 3 very large Altiris community groups, it is a must, but what else for "user groups" ?.

Our users will exhange & discuss more easily if they can receive directly as a "broadcasted" message, and can post directly answering reply, using email for "new comment" or "comment reply".
All reply are "broadcasted" the group as well, except members "unsuscribe".

Group Email should have:
- a web2 link each member can unsubscribe the post if not interested in the topic, just to avoid all others following answers this thread.
- When just answering the "broadcast" email, we would like by default a "comment" to the initial "post", or a "reply" to a following comment.
- A link for building a "private" message the owner of the post instead of the community would be nice.
- The author receive also the reply email, so he can verify not a fake email: with a special web2 link for him, he should "edit/reject" to correct fake usage (as anybody can send fake sender email :-(

We can probably live if there is no way to initiate (creating the post) by email, as we can do like a "Google group". I think it is probably a good idea to force the "Symaccount/connect" authentication before, so must post, not email, more easy to secure.

What do you think about ?
