While pasting any content in form, a window will open saying "Paste as Plain Text".
I dont like this kind of handling text's.
Please remove this window and when i paste the text if should automatically paste in the work area.
Even Previous Forum uses the same kind of behaviour but i dont know why New forum got changed like this :(

It is really a headache when you have to paste something, not just IE infact in all browsers.

Switch to plain text editor
I agree about this annoying window, but in any case there is the choice to use the "Switch to plain text editor" . This is a fast way to remove this window.

Agree also
Nothing but a pain. Switching to Plain Text Editor just to paste something thats even more of a pain in mid stream of writing up something. Then you forget to add branch returns,,yada yada...
Not a cool feature.
Should be a button on the bar to paste whats in the clipboard memory. All formatting done from the format bar.
Tip: Get overview/document your NBU environment. Run 'nbsu' and review the output.

why
Why isn't plain text the default to begin with ? Or why isn't there an option to set it as such ? Absolutely annoying having that pop up every time.

I am also not a fan of this
I am also not a fan of this plain text pop up. I also am not a fan of having to use the keyboard shortcut ctrl+c to copy parts of my posts. Why can't we left click and select copy? I usually use the keyboard shortcut anyway but every time I try to click and copy it is an annoyance. Every time it displays this message "Your browser security settings don't permit the editor to automatically execute copying operations. Please use the keyboard for that (Ctrl+C)." I know I can change this with my browser but again this is the only site where I have ever seen this issue. Not a huge deal but something I think we should all vote yes on.

Hi folks, We are giving
Hi folks,
We are giving people the option of Rich/Plain text for those who want to ensure the formatting remains consistent (if they are pasting from a document). Keep the comments coming - I like the idea of choosing which you begin with as the default based on your specific profile.

@eric When we paste some test
@eric
When we paste some test from a different document, all the formatting goes away and we have to format the text again.
This has been happening on Mozilla FIrefox. Not sure about Chrome or IE.
But if we can sustain the formatting of the text, then the aste as a plain text feature can be useful. Because by security point of viiew, we can remove a malecious hyperlink if its embedded in the text.

Actually, it is a security measure to make sure that no post has a Malicious URL embedded inside a word or a phrase when people copy and paste stuff from other websites or emails.
