Incorporate EV Reporting and Operations Manager into install as selectable options ?

I'm sure I'm not the only one to ask.

Our EV environment was built by a competent Consultant, but nobody asked the Consultant to install either EV Reporting or Operations Manager. Perhaps the features were unknown at the time of install: I don't know. 
I wasn't involved until after all of the installation and configuration had been 'completed' and at that time, I knew nothing about EV !
I'm now on the learning curve.

If those features could be included early on and the choice could be made at install time, perhaps a couple of 'tick boxes' (?), maybe I wouldn't be fighting with EV Reporting and I wouldn't have my manager jabbing me with sharp things in en effort to get me working even harder to get those features installed.
That said, Operations Manager is now in place, but EV Reporting is not being at all co-operative :).
If you have an idea how I can solve my current dillema, please post a response on the forum.
