I dont know if this functionality exists in 6.5.5, but it would be nice to be able to right click -> clear filter from the Java GUI.  Its not the biggest deal in the world, but it would save a few clicks, and the Windows GUI has it, so it does not seem like it would be that labor intensive to code into the Java GUI.

In general I think that there

In general I think that there are a few conveniences in the Windows GUI that ought to be brought across to the Java GUI. This is one of them.

Another one that I like in the Windows GUI is being able to move through jobs in the Job Details box of the Activity Monitor with the up/down arrows - the Java GUI doesn't have them:

In the Windows GUI these up/down arrows are also available in the Drive Details tab of the Device Monitor; but no present in the Java GUI.

There's one thing the Java GUI has that I wish the Windows one did: the ability enter backup selection lists as a big block of text:

Another item I would like to see in the windows gui

that is currently in the java gui is the ability to preview tapes needed for a restore.  For some reason you can not do this through the windows gui.

Unfortunately, the java gui

Unfortunately, the java gui will not be released in the next major release of netbackup. Instead they decided on a web console *YUCK!!!* which we all know is going to be rediculously slow.
