We have over 50 jobs that run every day.

I'd REALLY like to be able to view all the jobs with their start times in some sort of daily timeline like you see in Outlook or a daily planner view of your day.

We have to reshuffle jobs based on changes in server function, SQL database maintenance plan schedules, shift changes, etc.

There's no easy way to see everything running at a glance and the Scheduled Server Workload report doesn't have all the information we need.

The daily view would have the following:
Job Name, Start Time

Ideally the daily view would have all of the following:
Job Name, Start Time, Average Run Time (and/or min/max), MB/s

Rearrange jobs via GUI - click and drag:
It would be even better if you could rearrange jobs as easily as rearranging Outlook appointments by moving them with your mouse.

Was not sure if this met your needs or not. In recent versions of BE (11d and on), there is a Calendar view in Backup Exec that can be set to a daily view, weekly view, or monthly view that is similar to Outlook.

Here is a short example of what it looks like

We enhanced it in BE 2010 to allow it to show more jobs on each day by providing a count of them. It makes it a lot easier to work with overall.

Please check it out and let us know if this is something along the lines of what you are looking for.

I like the drop and drag idea a lot. I don't know if we can get to that but very good idea. We definitely do not have all of the functionality you are looking for but would be interested to know what is your top priority or priorities for adding more functionality to this view inside of Backup Exec are.
