Lotus Domino encrypted files are skipped during backup, but job summary reports "Completed status: Successful" - Job summary should report "Failed : Completed with Exceptions"
When we backup a Domino 8.01 database that contains encrypted databases, we understand these files can not be backed up by the Agent for Domino version 12.5 SP2.
But the summary report display a "Completed status: Successful " , which is to my eyes missleading.
In fact, the job details reports these encrypted databases as skipped; an thus, I suggest the overall status of the job to be "failed" or "completed with exception".
We have the following in the Job details
Backup Set Detail Information
The item D:\IBM\Lotus\Domino\data\CCBELUX\OverQuota\OPCLOSED.NSF in use - skipped.
The item D:\IBM\Lotus\Domino\data\CCBELUX\OverQuota\PROSPECT.NSF in use - skipped.
and we have this in the Job Completion
Job Completion Status
Job ended: 24 June 2009 at 21:50:19
Completed status: Successful
In version 9.2 of Backup Exec, running the same scenario (i.e. backup of dmino encrypted databases", the job status was reporting :
"Completed status: Failed"
"Final error: 0xa000e380 - An error occured during backup. Please check the job log for more information.
[Exceptions]
"click an exception below to locate it in the job log"

you have to check Microsoft VSS services on your mail client as backup exec VSS services integrated with Microsoft VSS service's ..
& enable VSS services on E: drive it will help you to resolve this problem
Not looking for a fix, but wants to clarify the job status
Maybe I have not well explained my case.
I understand and I agree (altough it is sorry) the Domino Agent for Backup Exec can no - by design - backup Doino encrypted databases.
This is explained in :

What I want to raise, is the job status in BENT 12.5 reports job success, but in BENT 9.2 job is reported as "completed with exeptions".
The version 9.2 is closer to the reality.
The version 12.5 "hides" the fact some databases are skipped.
The case 240-973-473 has bee re-opened today.The support team want to investigate the logs in Debug mode.
More to come after they work on these logs.
