We've investigated a little bit further this issue by putting traces on the BACKINT. We found that backint use a bplist command to find the files to be restored. This bplist command fails to retrieve any backed up files.
The bplist command generated by backint uses multiple options. 2 of them cause an error to be reported in stead of a list of files : the -r and -X option (the latter being undocumented).
I think we'll get in touch with the support to continue on this case as we found out that all our new systems are impacted by this issue.

I agree.  I posted another

I agree.  I posted another "Idea" about the email notifications being very confusing and hard to read, particularly when there are several updates on a single thread.

Thanks,

Managing Subscriptions

@chirag,

Subscriptions to email notifications are managed on your user profile page.  Go to your profile page and click the Notifications tab for a full summary of the notifications you've signed up for.

i wish i could find this page

I too am getting “Your subscription to "Technical Solution” way too many email’s and it seems for all backup products

I any want for BESR and SSR I can not find this profiles page? To see Notifications tab for a full summary of the notifications you've signed up for

There is a link in the email to change subscription

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=home

ok I go there and I logon

then there is a Manage Subscriptions on the rite I click that and I see I have one product and two KB Articles all are related to BESR?

Ware are the net backup and Backup exec stuff coming from and how to stop?

The only Profile I can find is SymAccount Profile and this will let me change my email address nothing else?

Another system?

Hi Linas,

It sounds like you are getting notifications from a Symantec system other than Connect.

To verify, click your username in your post above to be taken to your profile page. Then click the "Notifications" tab to see what, if any, notifications are being sent from Connect.

All notifications sent by the Connect system also have hyperlinks at the bottom of each email that allow you to manage -- or cancel -- your subscriptions.

Thanks,
Kevin

Support directed me to this

It seems this started after support directed me to subscribe to SSR2011

I got a notification from Symantec about a fix fro BESR2010

“Description: Error EBAB03F1: Operation aborted.

Info 6C8F17E7: An automatic recovery point was not created because an earlier recovery point from the same job was still in progress.

Details: Operation aborted”

Well it seems they fixed this in BERS2010 I called support asking if it’s fixed for SSR2011 and they told me not yet and that I should subscribe to Symantec Subscription Digest

For updates on SSR2011

I did with there help and now I get articled for a bunch of Symantec products

I do want this fix from Symantec but there’s just too muck junk so I will unsubscribe for now and call every few months to see if this is fixed
