Management of Targets

Status: Implemented

Provide a capability to manage saved Targets as you can with other resources or objects such as filters.

This specifically includes being able to delete targets, list dependencies or where a target is used.  Another feature which would be good would be to export a target through the GUI and thsi includes it's dependencies - although I can see a problem here with exporting Organisational Groups - however exporting targets which are made up of just filters shouldn't be a problem.

not sure when you say exporting targets what you mean from what you say above but I would like to be able to export a target's found results.  There are many times where I have a complex written target for say a managed deployment.  I see so many successful results in the reports for execution but no easy way to compare the two results.

The option of managing the Targets will be very helpful;

Renaming a Target,  Retiring a Target, Deleting a target

I would not recommend taking the risk but this will give you the data to find the target and then you could actually do a delete statement from that.

the management of targets was implemented in 7.5 sp1 and will also be improved on in our next release in Q1 2015
