"Most recent post" button near the Title of a Discussion

Partially Implemented
A lot of times we see that there are discussions which get a lot of responses. So when you get an update that someone posted a new Response to that discussion you open the link.
If the response is the last its good, but if someone posts a Reply to a comment in the middle of the third page, then you have to spend a lot of time to search for that comment.
having a button near the Title of the discussion will definitely make our lives simpler.

I know if you click the 'blue dot'
it takes you to one of the most recent comments, but if you forget to do this I agree for long 'discussions' this can be a pain.
Maybe we could get the option to view a discussion as either nested/thread-based or time-based? (Sure I read somewhere recently that this was being discussed as a possible future change??)

Nice idea. Should be implemented immediately .Really fed up with searching for latest post in forms which is having more posts . This link can be near the last comment author name will be much better.
If possible Andy's idea can also be added to this
Please don't forget to mark your thread solved with whatever answer helped you : ) Thanks & Regards Aravind
Besides the blue dot which
Besides the blue dot which Andy mentioned (which takes you to the first comment if you haven't opened the post before, and if you have opened the post before takes you to the first comment that has been added since you were last there), there are couple of other options for you. On the community feed on the right side, you'll see a few of the most recent comments. The comment is directly linked here.

Also, if you look at the community feed which is accessible by using the dropdown for a particular community, and then choosing the "overview" tab, you will see the most recent activity.
However, I have made a note of your request to make the blue dot closer to the users name that made the last comment.
Also, re: Andy's suggestion, it is on our list of things to work on in the future but is not scheduled for release. It will need to wait for some additional development that allows us to further have users customize their preferences.
