Just a small point:

SInce the recent change to identify new replies to posts with the blue bullet point instead of the bold subject header (which related to both new posts and unread replies) is there any intention to highlight new posts with something similar? As it currently stands any new posts without replies look too much alike to old posts that have been fully read i.e. in both cases no bullet points & no bold to distinguish the two.

As a follow up

I have just been 'exploring' the site & went into Me/My Actvity/All Recent Posts & any posts I haven't read (& there are a lot) are marked with a red "new" after the Post subject as well as the "4 new" etc in the replies column.

If the former (i.e. the red "new") could be 'cross-implemented' to show new posts actually over in the Forum boards it would be ideal.

Hear hear

Andy, I admire that you keep asking for stuff we had in the STN.  Keep up the good work!  ;-)

Bump

Nobody else bothered with this?

Still missing the odd new post that has had no responses - they just don't stand out from the crowd!!

Bearing in mind also that this is a feature that WAS on the new forum (new posts were emboldened), but was removed with the addition of the bullet-points to notify of new responses, so surely it would be a simple thing to re-implement?

Bump!

I'm still missing the odd new post. Surely it wouldn't be too difficult to re-instate the blue-dot or something similar for new unread posts?

e.g. As it currently stands I could've read all of the below posts or only the top & bottom ones:

But it's a little more obvious if it were like the following or something similar:

This is a good suggestion -

This is a good suggestion - the trick would be figuring out what constitutes a "new" post.  It sounds like what you really want is an "unread" posts.  So all posts that you haven't opened.  Is that right?

Previously

all unread used to show the subject emboldened indicating that it was either a new post or there were un-read replies within. (I think that was the case anyway, it's been a while!)

Since the advent of the blue dot to signify new replies, an unread new post (without replies) can no longer be differentiated from a new post (without replies) that has been read. There are no issues with a new post with replies that hasn't been read as the blue dot is there signifying unread replies! (My apologies, just reading that back got me confused!)

So basically, yes to your question "So all posts that you haven't opened.  Is that right?"

Additionally:

we get something similar already (altho' not in the actual forum area) e.g. if we upload a new image or if a post has been updated, & it remains like this until we enter the link:
