When the "Insert Item" option is used to insert an archived email (attach it), fetch the actual message for inclusion instead of using the shortcut.

a. when sent offsite, you only see the "partial" part included in the shortcut...including the "click here for  the original item"
b. when sent to another in-house user, they can't open the "attachment" because they don't have rights to the original vault.

My users use this a lot, and have to manually restore the item before inserting.

Just thinking out loud.

This should be an option just

This should be an option just like we have the forward and reply behavior.

Couldn't agree more!

This is a big pain in the proverbial for my users, and really dents the reputation of this product from my user community. People think its laughable that we as an organisation have deployed software thats missing what appears to be a fundamental feature, and are always asking us when we're going to upgrade to the latest release. The funny thing is, we are running the latest release! 8.0.

what are the time lines for a release around this?

Attach Item for Archived Mail

Hi
for forwarding / Reply the mail, first we need to open that archived mail and then click "click here to view the original item and attachments" option and then we can forward or reply.

but if use "attach item"  of archived mail, we can't view the mail and can't open attachment.

how to attach item with attachment?

Regards
