To become a Technical Advisor is not easy task. So to Promote/Motivate/dragging people near the forum is not it good that there should be a Regular Contributor TAG like TA.

In case a Regular Contributor stop posting since a specified time the Regular Contributor TAG should remove.

That is the purpose of the status bar next to your name. The staus bar lets people know how often you've contributed to the site.

If everything is shown next to your name then why will anybody see your profile page..

Anyways those bars (earlier it was pie's) next to your name signifies it whether you are a regular contributor or not

https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/pie-chart-points-how-many

and by looking at your Bars one can get you are a regular contributor who has more than 3500 lifetime points.
