When initially opening BE 12.5, the Connect to Media Server box has a drop down list for "Domain", but it only "remembers" the domain that the console is in.  For users who manage BE media servers in multiple domains such as myself, there's a constant need to manually type the domain name when switch to another domain.  I do this numerous times every day, and it's so much unnecessary typing.  Allow BE to remember the domain names, just the way it remembers the names of media servers.

While you're at it, it would be extremely helpful to have a screen where one can delete old media server and/or domain names that are no longer in use.  Presently the process of removing old media server names from the drop down list is a cumbersome process.

You should see this working the way you have it in the "Desired Functionality" screenshot in BE 2010.

I think we have it the way you want it. Can you give it a try and let us know if we got it right or have more work to do?

BE 2010 can now be downloaded at www.backupexec.com

I upgraded to BE 2010 this week, and I'm happy to report that the request expressed in this thread has been provided.  It is working perfectly, thank you very much!  I especially appreciate that when choosing different server names in the menu, that the domain name changes accordingly, based on the previous connections.  This is a great improvement and saves a lot of keystrokes every day.  THANK YOU!
