Currently, when running a report on the SEPM (RU6 MP1 as of this writing) to gather information for scans that have been run on Macintosh clients, the information returned is incomplete and/or incorrect; specifically, scan start/stop, status, files scanned, files omitted, and risks found.  Scan reporting for Macintosh SEP clients should match the reporting information returned for Windows SEP clients.

Hi Sandra,

I agree. Scan log details for the SEP Mac client are not usefull when viewed from the console. A product enhancement should be submitted to Development and Product Management groups. Although, maybe Symantec can't figure out a way to get this working.

That's what the Ideas section of the site is intended for. smiley

I'm pretty sure a lot more operating system parity between Mac and Windows SEP clients is coming.  Whether this includes more robust reporting information, I'm not sure.

I do believe this has actually been addressed in Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.4 (12.1 RU4). See:

The scan details for Macintosh clients are not displayed in the Logs page of Manager console
http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH158024
