SEP 11 Documentation and Help File Not Helpful

The documentation and help files for any of the Antivirus version are all written in generalities. As complicated as SEP 11 is I need explanations of terms. In the SEPM console under the HOME page - Summary tab - pulldown Site Status, I have a pile of clients that are Top Error Generatiors.
I can't find a explanation of what that is or what errors are being generated in the Doc files or Help Files.
The Section in the Doc files on how to set up your SEP 11 is useless for a big company like mine with 7000 clients. From talking to a Symantec tech there were some changes like dropping the liveupdate server and promoting the use of GUPs, that wasn't in there.
