Just an idea,

When I capture a new application I always have to go into advanced editing and exclude the standard exclusions. Isn't it a good idea that you can set a standard exclusion list that will apply to every new capture?

Or, you can have a global exclusion list that applies to the whole SVS install on your machine?

Comments are welcome, of course.

I agree that would be nice

I agree that would be nice to apply common excludes to every layer. Or maybe SVS should have global exclude entries. In the meantime I have written a tool to help you with this problem ExcludeCopy

Thanks

Thanks for the heads-up Jared. Could you please send me details (drop me an e-mail at info@svsdownloads.nl) how you did this, so I can get a peek into the technique behind SVS.

Gladly appreciated,

I think this should stay in

I think this should stay in the public eye. I like everyone to know how these type of things work.

I used the SVS SDK to write this application. The juice announced the release here.

This was a very simple process of enumerating the exclude entries in the template layer and then setting the exclude entries in the other layers.
