I would LOVE to see a Google Gadget for managing my SVS apps. Kind of like trinket, but free floating with the availability to call it up with a single double-click of the Shift key (like all Google Gadgets).

Anybody else using Google Gadgets? Would you like to have an SVS Google Gadget?

I have used Google Gadgets

I have used Google Gadgets and think it would be very cool. I don't know how many companies have Google Gadgets as a corporate standard though...

Google Gadget

Certainly not a corporate standard. I was thinking more along the lines of being used for IT Admins and at home for the free for personal use version/license.

Vista Gadget

If anyone has been playing with the RC1 for Vista you'll notice the gadget/widget option that lets you have items floating on your desktop similar to what google has.

It would be cool to have some sort of menu/trinket style widget that is supported on Vista.

Vista Gadget Revisted

Yes, I have been working with Vista for development purposes, and I do like those gadgets. But have you also noticed how much memory/CPU it takes up for such a small thing? Those will be turned off for sure for the masses. I agree though it would be cool to have a Trinket for us Admins...

Absolutely and also Konfabulator

While with Google and Konfabulator you're not going to see much widespread use, once it is built into Windows Vista, you will see more adoption, even though I am sure there will be a move towards minimizing the proliferation of CPU eating "gadgets".

Also, since it is built into Vista, you won't have the issue of running a "gadget" for SVS on a program that may itself be virtualized.
