It is not a problem to get an EXE, but when using CMS 7, only MSI files support the "IMPORT" tool.

So I suggest When Symantec provide any software installation package, goo idea to create an EXE, but also to provide an MSI version. (Perhaps just a EXE /X to extract or build a MSI from EXE?)

As I see in the latest SWV 6.3 (6.1 sp6mp1), only EXE are available, and not any more the MSI version. More over, you can not open using 7ZIP or similar the EXE, the coding inside does not provide the MSI...

Need to run the EXE, catch the temp (never in %temp%, should be too much easy...), and copy the MSI file, before the EXE end & delete it !!!

Not a very professionnal TRICK, isnt't ?

Thanks voting my suggest.

*Thumbs up* The install set

The install set for streaming/virtualisation is a mess and plenty of people will want to deploy this to enterprise. Let's have an MSI and be professional, eh Symantec :)
