I wrote about this in the SEP forum (www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/comparing-policies-sep-11), but its worth mentioning here so it might get considered for a future release.  I would love to have a tool that let me compare two policies.  My approach works, but is a real pain in the butt.  This seems like a must have for being able to maintain multiple policies, addressing exceptions, and debugging problems.

Something that works like the

Something that works like the Group Policy Modeling/Reporting features in Group Policy Managment Console would be handy on its own. But it would work well for this use if one could then select 2 generated reports to compare, and highlight the differences in a comparison report.

Or at least XML extracts

An XML extract would suffice for me, and I can run WinMerge.

You can get an XML extract

Phil - read the posting I linked to above (www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/comparing-policies-sep-11) for how to get it into xml and then do a comparison.  My post describes how to do it with BeyondCompare, but WinMerge should be similar.  The key is to get the comparison tool to ignore the unique id's.
