I really enjoy the VMWare agent for Backup Exec for Windows.  There is one thing I would like for it to do that it can't.  When you create a backup job for a virtual server it would be nice if you could pick a different vmware esx server host as the destination.  That way the virtual machine can be backed up directly to a machine where the vm can be turned on right away.

Thanks,
Andy

I like this idea a lot! Let's make it happen

Hello

I like this idea a lot.

I think we are going to take a shot at doing this.

What other options would you like to see offered during the restore to the alternate ESX host?

Renaming of VM?
Register with vCenter?
Choose network?
Configure ram, cpu, disk?
Overwrite?
Power on?
etc?

Peter
