Seems like it would be handy if the VSAs created by SWV contained metadata such as the version of SWV that created them, the OS that SWV was running on when they were created, whether they were captured with global or single program capture, .etc.  It's very handy the way photo editing programs such as Photoshop can read and write such metadata. I'm thinking of two types of data: that which the program automatically adds and that which the person who created or uses the VSA could add manually. Photo metadata is handled in two different ways: one way is to embed the data directly in the file, and the other is to add a "sidecar" file which contains it. Seems like it would be handy if SWV Admin could display this data when the Info menu item was clicked. I'm only familiar with SWV. This metadata might be a feature of some other Symantec program that I'm not familiar with.
I should have read the other idea posts before I made this one. I see the metadata idea has been suggested before.
