Hi,

I think would be nice on Symantec Connect Forums and Ideas to have a chek just after writing the "Title" , if somebody else already wrote the same idea,  to avoid creation of duplicates.

This is done in forums like "Stack-Overflow" (see: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/ask)

I like it.

Can't guarantee when we could add this, but it's definitely worth adding to our list of enhancements.

@ Frank019:  hehe, I agree

@ Frank019:  hehe, I agree with you that users should search before posting, but  you know how many ppl don't do that. With an automated search they will be forced to look at similar question and in a way... "educated" to look at similar post before writing a new one.

@ .peter : Happy that you liked it and that is gone on the "to do list" ;)

Avoid posts duplicated

I agree with this idea, hope to see a similar feature like Google suggest , it could be a good way to reduce posts with the same subject.

Paolo

I think it resume to be doing

I think it resume to be doing a search except it done automaticaly. If the guy didn't want to read the other idea to see if it was already there, he probably won't check the related idea either.

 @ Frank019:  "If the guy

@ Frank019:  "If the guy didn't want to read the other idea to see if it was already ..." disagree... this makes it highly visible and hard to ignore. I am a strong supporter of this type of funcationality. Enforce good etiquette through ease of use!
