Ability to email reports as an attached *.CSV

We would like to have the ability to email reports as an attached .CSV file. Currently the system only allows you to send it as HTML in the body of the email, however you cannot sort the results. I know that we can save the reports as a spreadsheet/CSV but it would be nice to be able to email the report as an attached .CSV.

Did you ever get a resolution to this issue or find a workaround? We're also are trying to use automation email to send out a .csv from a report we generate.
