It would be great to have the following information in the SEPM / SEP database:

  1. Please add a new field to SEP client properties to get / have the OS type /architecture:

    32 or 64 bit

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment\PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE

  2. Please make the field "Operating System" more granular, especially for Server OS.

    Examples:

Server shown as: Windows Server 2008 Standard Edition
Correct: Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Edition

Server shown as: Windows Server 2003 family Standard Edition
Correct: Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard x64 Edition

I know this post is old, but I've been thinking about that for a while, too.  It's almost impossible to go to every single device in a company and see what architecture their OS is using...  plus release version, service pack details etc.

Has this been done already by Symantec?  I can't see it in SEPM.

No, it is not implemented yet.

I checked with SEP 11 RU7 MP3 and SEP 12.1 RU3.
