Add GlobalProtect from Palo Alto Networks to the list of VPN Adapters recognized by SEP 12.1
The product called GlobalProtect from Palo Alto Networks provides VPN services, in addition to Host Integrity and other capabilities to computers that use it to remotely connect to their corporate network.
http://www.paloaltonetworks.com/products/technologies/globalprotect.html
"VPN secure remote access.
GlobalProtect enables remote users to access the corporate network by automatically establishing either an SSL or IPSec-based VPN connection depending on location and configuration. The remote access connection is authenticated through one of several mechanisms (local DB, RADIUS, LDAP, Active Directory, Kerberos and Smartcards) and once the secure remote connection is established, users are protected by the same security policies as corporate users."
At present, the "PANGP Virtual Ethernet Adapter" through with computers communicate is not included in SEP's known VPN list. Customers can still configure their SEP client firewall policies to function correctly by using other criteria (NIC description, etc) or configure rules that apply to all adapters, though this may be less convenient.
Please "vote up" on this proposed enhancement request to voice your support that this product's adapter be automatically recognized as a VPN adapter!

I agree that this should be added. Not having this made my Global Protect evaluation very difficult.
+1
I agree that the adapter should be implemented.
