Please ad an option in the software portal settings to remove ability for users to request unlisted software.  Very often users will request items that are listed.  Also, we do not currently have the manpower actively monitor all of the unlisted requests when we use a seperate system to handle similar requests.  Thank you.

+1 for this from me.

According to http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=HOWTO77094

"A similar functionality to disable the "Request Unlisted Software" button from the Software Portal will be tentatively available stating from 7.5 SP1 release due June / July 2014. Several Registry keys have been added to hide / unhide the button."

but I'm guessing this didn't happen since I can't find any docs for it?

That would be nice.  I did not install this point fix in the versions referenced by that document but im curios for those that did.  Was the configuration made by the point fix removed in recent upgrades?

We have 7.5 SP1 installed but did not find any registry key or settings in coresettings there. Was it implemented there?

From Symantec:

Add 'DisableUnlisted' reg key value (String) with any value data in it to

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Altiris\SWM

or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Altiris\PointFixes

Tested with value '1' and works for both locations
