Hello,

As of now, Application and Device Control are completely System Based and Location Based.

How if they are made more flexible in Upcoming Releases.

Application and Device Control Policies should also be Time based and User Based.

For Example, In my company, I have Laptops which my users can take home after their working hours.

I would like to have the Application and Device Control policy on SEP clients to be limited only during Working hours and not beyond that.

I agree, I could provide a Location Based Policy, however, Location Based would be noticed when the machine comes in to office network via VPN (called as Outside Office Network)

What if I would like to have this user use the machine at his home with no restrictions??

Another Example:

In my company, I have Laptops which my users can take home after their working hours.

I would like to have the Application and Device Control policy on SEP clients to be limited only to specific users even though the SEP is installed in Computer Mode.

Hope we this coming in the upcoming Releases!!

Not a very good idea to relax security policies for users outside trusted network. But yes, a good idea is to have different policies in place for location changes.

If possible to make SEP policies USER AWARE when in Computer Mode, that would definitely save a lot of the headache with day-to-day SEP work.
