Authentication on terminal servers
Created: 01 Jul 2012 | 3 comments
Dear Team,
it's a common problem that SWG can't authenticate users on terminal servers, or on PCs, servers used by several users. Please develope a method what uses e.g. Internet explorers integrated windows authentication to solve that issue.
Regards,
Viktor

Symantec Web Gateway tracks users by IP address. If multiple users are logged into a terminal session it the last credentials received seen by the SWG and the policy for that user will be applied to all the users on the system accessing the internet.
As Ben said, all we see is an IP address accessing a URL. There is nothing embedded in that request that tells us who the end user is, for very important security reasons.
