With the rise in the file size of the default client installation package of SEP 12.1 RU3, to 250 MB to 350 MB, it would be very helpful to be able to add the "Basic Content" installation package to a group in the SEPM on the "Install Packages" tab.  This would allow clients to automatically update to the newest version of the SEP client automatically without manual intervention needed for the upgrade.  Currently this "automated" approach is possible but only with the full installation package that contains the latest content updates and hence makes the installation package quite large, up to 350 MB.  I am proposing allowing the much smaller "Basic Content" package, which is about 60+ MB, to be added to any group in the SEPM on the "Install Packages" tab of the group.

Currently, if one uses the Basic Content package to deploy or upgrade the SEP client, it must be deployed "manually" and cannot be automated by placing that package on the "Install Packages" tab.  Many network environments would be stressed deploying install packages to all computers in an automated fashion, that are up to 350 MB in size, even if those installations were staggered.  It takes too long to deploy packages that large and in some cases deployment would fail due to network latency in some environments.
