Backup Exec 2012 DLM configuration/functionality should allow dis-association retention times of Incremental/Differentials to Full backups, so that Full backups are deleted only on their retention time date and not in addition to the Incremental/Differential retention time date.

Also, a step further, Backup Exec 2012 DLM configuration/functionality should allow for the dis-association of retention times of Incremental/Differentials to other Incremental/Differentials, so that an Incremental/Differential is deleted only on it's retention time date and not in addition to a subsequent Incremental/Differential's retention time date.

With these two enhancements, Backup Exec 2012 would allow Administrators to granularly retain individual backups to the last possible moment rather than losing a Full backup and all associated Incrementals/Differentials all at one time.
