There are a couple of our customers who have acquired HP-UX IA64 (itanium processor 64 bit) and Symantec only supports :
Product Name:                 Version                OS
HP-UX                                    11.11                    PA-RISC
HP-UX                                    11.23                    PA-RISC
HP-UX                                   11.31                    PA-RISC

Is it possible for Symantec Tech to enhance Backup Exec to HP-UX IA64servers too?

Thanks in advance

Backup Exec will only support Remote Agent installations...not the full installation.

Hello,

Sorry for the delayed response. After much discussion, we have made a decision for stop all support for Itanium processors with Backup Exec for all platforms.

However, the Symantec NetBackup product www.netbackup.com will continue to support Itanium processors on several OS's.

Again, our apologies for the delayed response to you your post.

If you have other suggestions for Backup Exec, please let us know.

Thank you,

Peter

Thanks for the post but we have decided to discontinue all Itanium support in Backup Exec going forward.

However, our NetBackup product will still continue to support that platform. www.netbackup.com
