Dear Symantec :-)
Can we expect to see Backup Stress analyzer tool. So we can simulate the environment and come to know if backup architecture which is designed pertaining to environment meets the requirement with optimum performance. Also analyzer tool should indicate where performance is lagging and using what means we can achieve max performance.(similar to Exchange jetStress)...

Documentation: How to use the GEN_DATA file list directives with NetBackup for UNIX/Linux Clients for Performance Tuning

Hi Tim
It was god to hear from Symantec regarding quick response on enhancement requests/suggestions
Article shared by you was impressive , but it seems limited to non-Windows client platform. Can we have similar sort of tools which we can use pre-production of netbackup so we can have brief idea of what infrastructure would yield best performance and does it satisfy our RPO RTO and ROI in actual terms as well.
Awaiting to hear more from you. :-)
Cheers !!!

I'm checking on the Windows limitations and will report more when I can.
As for the report data you're looking for (RPO, RTO, ROI in actual terms), I don't expect GEN_DATA would provide that information (even if it supported Windows). As a result, in order to help us prioritize the request, we'll keep an eye on the votes.
Thanx Tim for encouraging
Cheers !!!
