I have a customer that got a lot of spam in certain foreign languages, so those were blocked via the language filter in Brightmail.

This filter, however, occasionally registers false positives: messages in English are deleted, even though English is not a blocked language.

This happens in particular with a few senders. These senders are added to the list of Good Senders ("Local Good Sender Domains"), but still their messages are deleted.

One would think that messages coming from whitelisted addresses would bypass language filtering. Surprisingly, this is not the case. There is an option to bypass the content filter for whitelisted entries, but not the language filter.

Could we please add this option?

We need around 160 words or so to be able to determine the language of an email. If there are a lot of mis-spellings or an attchment with foreign words, this can register as not written in English. The language filtering is done after reputation and spam detection, so the local good sender list does not apply. You should change to an exclusion list instead of an inclusion list if you are getting false positives.
