Hello there,

We are an Enterprise BCS customer with a large distributed SEP 12.1 deployment.  We are looking to leverage the caching server but are running into an issue due to our distributed model.  Setting up multiple caching servers in our environment at each site requires us to create a new AV policy for each site.  This conflicts with our model which is based on consolidation and sharing of policies.  Due to the amount of sites we manage configuring caching servers at each site would require us to duplicate our 10-12 shared polices at each site.  WIth 20+ sites this would create an administrative burden to manage and keep these policies consistent.

My suggestion is for the communcation settings for caching servers to be removed from the AV policy and configured under the "Client" "Policies" communicaiton settings instead.  This would allow us to keep our consolidated shared policy count and remove the administrative burden of creating all these policies per site.

Thanks...

Rolando
