Dear Symantec,

I often create reports where the Report Generator makes very narrow columns (with just 1 character) very wide and wide columns with 50 characters too narrow and it annoys others that use them.

I have found this question and answer on Connect:

And I read and "solution" and it is clear as mud (because there is no practical example shown).

There is also no information about formatting column widths in the SMP User Guide section, "Creating custom Notification Server reports".

So, can we PLEASE either:

1) be able to set a default column width in the UI?

2) change the User Guide to include a clear example of how to do the formatting of columns, including setting default column widths?
