Can we please have a Task Type that allows you to select a policy and when it runs immediately executes a policy?
I have lots of processes on computers that are run overnight, but must not overlap. When setting these up to run on computers, the Standard Process is to let each process have enough time to run, such as 5 minutes for one process that usually takes about 1 minute to happen on "average computers" and 30 minutes for a process that takes 10 minutes to run on an "average computer", just in case any of them take any longer.
The problem is that the window for executing this set of processes is getting very squeezed and I am having to close up the buffer spaces between the processes. Now, if the processes were just tasks running on the NS, then we could just bundle them into a Server Job and run them, one after another. However, one of the processes involves a "Targeted Software Inventory" and another of the processes is a software management solution policy and these need to be run on the clients. At the moment, you cannot create a Client Job and then select a TSI or SMS Policy and add it as a task in the Job for execution during the rest of the process.
So, can we please have a Task Type that allows you to select a policy and when it runs immediately executes a policy?
