Can we please include a direction to install the "SQL Server CLR Types" Feature from the SQL Server Feature Pack in the Service Desk Implementation Guide?
Dear Symantec,
I just finished installing Service Desk 7.5 on a server without SQL Server installed. In the Implementation Guide, it tells you to install the following items from the SQL Server Feature Pack on page 98:
■ Microsoft SQL Server Native Client
■ Microsoft ADOMD.NET
■ Microsoft SQL Server Management Objects (SMO)
■ Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Management Objects (AMO)
When I came to install the "Microsoft SQL Server Management Objects (SMO)" the MSI complained because I had not installed "SQL Server CLR Types" and gave an illegal URL to download from.
After looking for it on Microsoft's Bing (which did not help), I found in Google that it is another part of the SQL Server Feature Pack.
Once I installed the "SQL Server CLR Types" Feature, I could then install the "Microsoft SQL Server Management Objects (SMO)" feature.
So, can the "SQL Server CLR Types" Feature be included in the above list on page 98 of the Implementation Guide, please?
