I have a customer with a strong desire to have an option in NetBackup to restore individual .vmdk file for a VMware virtual machine. Even with NBU v7.5, using the Restore Type as 'Restore from Virtual Machine Backup', all the VMware .vmdk file(s) for a virtual machine are selected for restore. You can't select individual .vmdk file to restore because they are greyed out.

I believe Veeam backup can do this. It would be great if this capability can be added to NetBackup ASAP because more and more customers are having VMware virtual machine to be backed up in their environment. With this capability added, users can have much flexibility in what they can restore.
