At present in Clearwell you can only search using wildcards (the ?).  It would be much more powerful to have a wildcard for an alpha character and and numeric, for example I want to search for a policy number which is in the format:

AB12345A

At present I can only use ???????? which simply returns every 8 character word.  If we had some additional wildcard characters I could search like:

**#####* and suspect the number of hits would be much more specific to my requirements.

Essentially whilst I like the fact that Clearwell makes it simple for end users there should be a capability for some simple regular expression searching, starting with this simple requirement to wildcard a numeric or alpha character.
