Hi

I'm sure its been mentioned before but limiting the ability to remotely push the client installs to the OS of the master server really causes problems in large complex environments.

I am implementing NetBackup 7.1 in an environment with a mixture of Linux (RedHat) and Windows 2003 (x86/x64), Windows XP and Windows 2008 (x86/x64) clients which currently need to have agents installed locally.  Having the ability to remotely push the agents as you can in Backup Exec 9.1/12.5/2010 was really useful in a geographically distributed estate.

Please can this be bought in as a feature of NBU?

Thanks, Mike

Have you ever considered LiveUpdate?

I am under the impression that Live Update can be used to update the existing installations but this would not be of assistance in deploying the agent?
