Change the destination of a running backup....suspend the backup, change the destination to anothr library-drive-disk pool...whatever. The software would be smart enough to copy what has already been written to the new destination then remove it from the original.

...why would you want to do this? If you had to do this, your original job is wrong, so change that.

You realise that your 5 hour backup for example, now becomes 10 hours or more just to do this...? Doesn't seem feasible for this, and I don't know of any other software that does this.

I have a backup going to a tape drive in library-A. The backup has been running for 5 hours...the backup window is 7 hours. Something has happened to library-A and the vendor needs to bring the library down.

I would like to suspend the backup, move the tape to library-B, change the destination of the suspended backup to library-B, then release the backup again, or something similar to that.
