Change Plan Approval should be separate from CAB Voting

In ServiceDesk 7.5 (and MP1) the "CAB Review and Approval" task is assigned to the group defined as CAB.  This includes both voting tasks and the "Approve Change Plan" task.

The "Approve Change Plan" task allows any single member of the CAB to approve/reject the entire change and ignore voting.

A better approach would be to have a separate overall approval task assigned to the Change Managers or a group/individual specified when completing the planning phase.  This would allow flexibility with different change approvals processes and prevent CAB members over-riding their peers (intentionally or accidentally!).

Thanks for submitting the enhancement. We are currently looking at this for possible inclusion in the upcoming Apollo release.

Can anyone confirm if this badly needed enhancement has been included in 7.5 SP1? Also a way to automate voting and trigger notification once all cab members have voted would be nice.

Sadly no this didn't make it into Apollo or 7.5 SP1 as it was re-named.  I have had some success with a workaround but I'd really like to see the core CM workflow modified to cater for this.

Can you share what your workaround for this problem is?
