right now in the computers tab i see the computer aliases and this is not good, after i change a computer name i can't find the new computer name anymore, because the alias (that is being shown in computers tab) is not being updated.
any way i can search computers by their CURRENT names and not their old aliases??

 

changing the display from the alias to the actual computer name is too complex for some reason?

Renaming a computer in the management console

A newly installed Protection Agent uses the computer host name for its identity in the management console. Often times, an organization's computer naming scheme can be cryptic. If you want a more easily recognized name within the management console, you can change the name that is displayed for the computer. You do not rename the computer, but you change the computer alias that is displayed.

To rename a computer using its Computer Alias

  1. On the top of any page, click the Computers tab.
  2. Click the name of the computer you want to rename.

The Computer Profile page appears.

  1. Click Change Computer Alias on the right side of the screen.
  2. Edit the computer alias, and then click Save.

The Computer Profile page refreshes and displays the new name of the computer

you don't understand, the issue is when i change a real PC name the alias in your portal doesn't get updated so i can't search for it unless i remember the old PC name.
