Thanks..
When I asked support and they told me windows 2008/2008R2 and the Enterprise Vault 9 Add- in for Outlook is not supported in the compatibility guide. Hence the question.
"*Officially* Windows 2008 is not supported as a client, however this does not mean that EV will *never* work with 2008 acting as a client. It just means that it has not been tested and certified. If customer wants to know if it is *possible*, then get them to create a test environment, but point out that any adverse affects will not be supported by Technical Support should problems arise. "
As I understand the Citrix/XenApp world, when presented out to a client/end-user it's not "really" Windows 2008 R2 tha tthe user sees. Or is it? What does the end-user see? Do you have to publish a desktop OS to the user? Or just Desktop Apps?
Many Thanks,
Rob

I have checked with Citrix server team here and they have come back with this.
"They would see Windows 2008 r2 whether its a desktop or published app.
It depends which way we go whether its published app / desktop.
Again depending on way we go, but if using nfuse then it would be published. "
i've pinged our certification guys, let's see if they know any more.
Many Thanks,
Rob
